Rewilding Classes

Rewilding 101
This class goes over the basics of rewilding; anti-civilization philosophy, basic hunter-gatherer-horticulturalist anthropology, friction-fire making, 5 common edible & medicinal plants, animal tracking basics, and sensory awareness games. Available by request to groups of 3-5 people. Cost negotiable.

Take rewilding into outterspace. Just kidding. But seriously? A better course description will follow.

Rewild Camps

I facilitate Rewild Camps around the world. The term Rewild Camp refers to a networking event where fellow people-who-rewild can meet and share their rewilding skills. Rewild Camps work to build communities and strengthen resolve: great for college campuses! If you would like to hire me to organize and facilitate a rewild camp, send me an e-mail at urbanscout (at) gmail (dot) com with the subject heading “Rewild Camp.” If you don’t have the money to have me organize a rewild camp, I wrote an article called, “How to Organize a Rewild Camp” so you can run one anyway! The following example packages will give you some idea of how it works.

Basic Package

Services
• 3 hours of marketing consultation 1 month before the event.
• 4 hours of online marketing.
• Authoring of press release for the event.
• Facilitation of the weekend skill share.
• Teach bow-drills, tracking basics,

Needs
• $1,000 facilitation fee.
• Hotel Fare for Friday and Saturday night.
• $100 food per diem.
• Round trip plane fare.

Awesome Package

The awesome package includes both myself and my friend, writer, artist, tracker and fellow person-who-rewilds Dr. Willem Larsen, who writes and tends to the College of Mythic Cartography.

Services

• Facilitation of the weekend skill share.
• Scout will teach bow-drills, tracking basics, stone tool basics.
• Willem will teach three topics of requested material (you’ll have to peruse the college website and ask him!)

• $1,000 facilitation fee for both Willem and I.
• Hotel Fare for Friday and Saturday night for both Willem and I.
• $100 food per diem for both Willem and I.
• Round trip plane fare for both Willem and I.

Triply Awesome Package

The triply awesome package included me, Willem Larsen and our good friend Tony Deis, creator of TrackersNW, an organization dedicated to rewilding.

Services

• Willem will teach home-grown animist martial arts, e-primitive games, theater games.
• Tony will teach how to start a wilderness school from scratch, how to market classes and how to network.
