On lists...

By their very nature, lists suggest that you are trying to get somewhere. Trying to end up in a place or position. Always living in the future. But the thing about the universe is that everything exists in a cycle. So what you just did today -- you'll seemingly end up doing again very soon. There will always be food to find. There will always be hides to tan. Pancakes to slap, etc. It always come back 'round again. Living in the flow for me is not easy. In fact, it's downright difficult. I guess there is a bit of faith involved. But --that being said-- i find it pleasurable.

(...I hope that didn't come off as pompous. Cuz I used to make lists all the time. I even started labeling mine as "Want" to-do lists -- which didn't help.

my most successful 'to-do' lists are the ones where, instead of writing down what i want to/should do and try to check it off, i write down what i did today and then cross it off. that way i get to see all the great things i actually accomplished and not feel shitty that i didn't do anything i started out to do.
